LeMans Start
Date/Time: Friday (April 23) from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Location: West Parking Lot, outside the Conference Center.
Signup: Signup sheets will be available at the registration desk.
This is a low-key event that mimics the famous start of the Le Mans Race where racers sprint to their cars, get them started, and head out onto the track.
For our event though, contestants will sprint 50-feet to get to their car. They will enter the car, fasten their seat belt, start the car, and drive it 150 feet to the finish line. Each contestant will be given three attempts. The best time will be scored, lowest score wins. There will be no classes for cars, but men and women will compete separately.
This event qualifies as a moving event, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will be awarded for both men and women competitors.
